Northern Gifts, home of the original Canned Critters®, has been designing and manufacturing unique plush animals since 1988. The company has built a solid reputation for creating original handmade soft toy animals at affordable prices using only the finest materials.

From a Canned Grizzly Bear, the Canned Critters® family has grown to include over 45 cuddly creatures from land, sea and air. Each can features a fun, colorful label with interesting and educational facts about each animal.

In 1998, Northern Gifts proudly introduced Mini Canned Critters®. This miniature collection now features over 20 critters representing farm, jungle, wildlife, insect and pet series. Each 4" bean-filled soft toy animal is sealed into a 3" can with a pull-top lid and wrapped in a delightfully humorous label.

The success of Canned Critters® prompted the company to create larger soft animals in the same designs. The Wild Wonders® line of soft toy animals range in size from 4" to 14" and all animals are native to North America. Northern Gifts is also an official licensee for Royal Canadian Mounted Police products, Curious George (Canada) and Anne of Green Gables.

Our manufacturing process meets or exceeds all applicable U.S. Government regulations, European Standard EN71 and international toy and safety regulations. All our pieces are hand sewn using only lock-washer eyes and noses. Fabrics and materials are non-allergenic, colorfast and non-flammable.

In 2007 we were thrilled to include Pacific Rim Arts' prolific line of Fashion and Sterling Silver Jewellery to our selection of quality gifts. In January 2010, Northern Gifts introduced Cape Coco, a new brand of jewellery that helps to highlight the quality and value of our prolific jewellery collection.
